CareIndex is built for New Yorkers who deserve calm, honest information when choosing care. Every sponsorship must preserve that experience — never interrupt it.

We treat sponsorship as a premium visibility channel, not a shortcut around our directory standards. Paid partners receive clearly labeled presence; organic listings remain merit-based on relevance, completeness, and patient signals.

What sponsorship includes

We offer a limited number of premium placements designed for healthcare organizations, employer benefits teams, and mission-aligned brands serving NYC patients.

Editorial and quality standards

All sponsored creative and copy undergoes editorial review before publication. We reserve the right to decline or remove sponsorship that conflicts with patient trust or our directory mission.

  • Every sponsored unit is visibly labeled (e.g., “Sponsored,” “Paid partnership,” or “Promoted”) — no native ads disguised as organic listings
  • Sponsored profiles cannot alter patient ratings, review counts, or organic sort order
  • Claims about outcomes, wait times, pricing, or insurance acceptance must be substantiated and kept current
  • Copy must use accessible language; medical claims require appropriate qualification
  • Partners must comply with applicable healthcare advertising rules, including FTC endorsement guidelines where relevant

What we do not sponsor

To protect patients and preserve directory integrity, we do not accept sponsorship from:

  • Unlicensed or unverified healthcare providers
  • Products or services making unsubstantiated cure or miracle claims
  • Predatory lending, debt collection, or high-pressure sales funnels tied to care decisions
  • Illegal substances, unapproved treatments, or counterfeit medications
  • Content that targets vulnerable patients with fear-based messaging
  • Political campaigns unrelated to community health education

Advertising on CareIndex supports the product while keeping patient trust intact. We follow a simple rule: if a placement would confuse a reasonable user about what is paid versus organic, we do not run it.

Advertisers receive premium visibility in designated ad slots — never inside organic doctor or clinic result lists without clear separation and labeling.

Available formats

We offer restrained, high-quality ad units suited to healthcare and adjacent services:

  • Homepage and directory sidebar display units (static or lightly animated)
  • Specialty or procedure hub banners with contextual relevance
  • Newsletter and email feature blocks for opted-in provider and patient audiences
  • Sponsored content articles reviewed by our editorial team (clearly labeled)
  • Employer benefits and health-plan awareness campaigns
  • Custom packages for multi-borough or multi-specialty reach — subject to inventory

Creative requirements

All ad creative must meet our visual and accessibility standards. We provide spec sheets upon request.

  • Minimum contrast ratios and legible type for all age groups
  • No auto-playing audio; video must be muted by default with user controls
  • No pop-ups, interstitials, or full-screen takeovers that block directory navigation
  • No misleading buttons (e.g., “Download now” when linking to a contact form)
  • Healthcare ads must include required disclaimers (e.g., “Consult your physician,” Rx fair balance where applicable)
  • Imagery must be dignified — no shock content or exploitative patient photography

Targeting and data

CareIndex does not sell patient medical records or protected health information for ad targeting.

Contextual targeting (specialty page, borough, procedure category) is available. Behavioral targeting is limited to aggregated, anonymized site usage — never individual diagnosis or treatment data.

Third-party ad tags and trackers require review and must comply with our Privacy Policy and applicable consent requirements.

Review, approval, and takedown

Every campaign is reviewed before launch. We may request revisions or decline ads that fail our standards.

We reserve the right to pause or remove live advertising immediately if it violates these guidelines, receives credible patient complaints, or conflicts with regulatory guidance — with proportional refund terms defined in the insertion order.

  • Standard review turnaround: 3–5 business days after receiving final assets
  • Expedited review available for time-sensitive public-health campaigns
  • All live ads include a visible “Ad” or “Advertisement” label
